In 2021, the Summer solstice occured on Sunday, June 20,
marking the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. The Solstice is an
astronomical event that happens twice, once in summer and once in winter, each
year when the Sun reaches its highest position in the sky as seen from the
North or South Pole. During Solstices the tilt of the axis of the Earth (with
respect to the Sun) is the maximum at 23° 26'.
The summer
solstice occurs during summer. This is the June solstice in the Northern
Hemisphere and the December solstice in the Southern Hemisphere
The Summer Solstice occurred on 2oth June this year in Canada. It was the longest day of the year (15 hrs & 40 Mins Day Time).
