Midsummer twilight
distant clouds
turn into a mellow apricot
shimmering rows and rows
of elms and firs
in the calm cool eventide
Birds in the nests
sing the last song of the day
before falling into sleep
A painted shadow
fading reflections
a lonely Canoe
sailing to an unknown destiny
disappears
in the dull darkness
